Mohammad Anwar Hajher

It was Anwar Hajher's dream to return to his homeland after
twenty five years. He knew that many things had changed in the
country and he wanted to capture his first impressions and
present it to the world. In collaboration with his team, he
succeeded to do so.
In search of fact-finding,
he went to the country to interview ordinary Afghans. The film
covers a vast geographical area, from central Afghanistan to the
northern part of the country where Hajher was educated and then
to Lugar province, his birth place. He speaks in plain Pashto
and Dari with those who are affected by the events of the past
quarter of a century and shares the stories of the eyewitnesses
with the world. Hajher is currently an assistant professor
of Dari, Pashto and Afghan cultural studies in the United States.
Mithaq Kazimi / Producer, Editor
When Anwar Hajher presented the idea of this documentary to
Mithaq Kazimi he instantly agreed to produce it. After months of pre-production and planning he managed to get the team
together and shoot the film. After watching the
20+ footage from Afghanistan, he took upon himself to also edit
the film. Mithaq Kazimi is a well-known Afghan-American
filmmaker and has also worked in many US-based and international
projects. He is currently continuing his filmmaking studies and
career in the
United States.
Ahmad Shah Hassan / Music Director
The talented Afghan singer and the nephew of famous Afghan
poet Raziq Fani, Ahmad Shah Hassan was attracted to the content
of the film immediately. He is credited with more than 30 years
of experience in singing and composition in several languages
such as Dari, Pashtu, Urdu and Hindi. He currently resides in
California where he continues his music career and teaches
music to the next generation. Hassan has composed the most
original and intriguing pieces of music for 16 Days in Afghanistan.
